Alright, following on from my Beef blog last week we would like to introduce an idea to you…….The Pines Beef!!

Over the course of the last few months we have found it incredibly rewarding to see our Milk go from start to finish – from milking the cows to being in the customers hand (and coffees, pana cottas, smoothies etc!!)
Now that we see our milk go from ‘Cow to Cup’ we have been wondering how we can continue this philosophy through other areas of farming.

One pretty obvious idea is seeing our beautiful beef cows go directly to local consumers…… ‘Paddock to Plate’ as it were. We know we have beautiful Beef cows – slow grown, grass fed and slightly older (read tastier!!) than what you find in supermarkets. We have been approached by quite a few people – chefs included - to provide top quality slow grown, local beef. But we know nothing about butchery?!

Luckily the guys at Rose Bank Meats know A LOT about it and have offered to give us a hand - hanging, cutting and packaging our Beef, to be sold locally!

We have decided to trial one of our Beef cows and see what we get! We are offering $50 beef packs, which will include some prime cuts (Rib-Eye, Sirloin, Porterhouse etc) as well as some sausages and/or mince.
